Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 May 2026
1. Who we are
Axel (“Axel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by Your Digital Media. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit our marketing site, request a demo, or otherwise interact with us. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@getaxel.app.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide. Contact details (name, email, company, role) you submit through demo requests, the waitlist, or email replies.
- Usage data. Pages visited, referrer, device type, browser, approximate location derived from your IP address, and interactions with the site such as scroll depth and CTA clicks.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Used for basic site functionality and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to demo requests and inbound inquiries.
- Send transactional emails related to a demo or trial.
- Improve the marketing site and understand how visitors use it.
- Run conversion measurement on advertising platforms where you have opted in to receive marketing communications.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse.
4. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) data
Axel integrates with Meta’s platforms (Facebook and Instagram) through Facebook Login for Business and the Meta Marketing APIso that customers can manage and analyse their advertising from inside Axel. When you connect a Meta account to Axel, we access and process only the data you authorise through Meta’s permission dialog.
What we access from Meta. Depending on the permissions you grant, this may include:
- Your Meta user ID, name, email, and profile picture for account identification.
- Lists of Meta Business Accounts, ad accounts, Pages, Instagram accounts, and Pixels you have access to.
- Ad campaign structure (campaigns, ad sets, ads), creative assets, targeting settings, and performance metrics (impressions, reach, clicks, spend, conversions, ROAS).
- Custom audiences and audience insights that you choose to manage through Axel.
- Catalog and product data linked to commerce surfaces, where relevant to the workflows you run.
How we use Meta data. Solely to provide the Axel service you have asked for: reading campaign and performance data, generating reports and recommendations, creating or editing ads on your behalf when you instruct Axel to do so, and surfacing insights inside the Axel product. We do not sell Meta data, we do not use it to build profiles of end users, and we do not use it for advertising to people outside your own accounts.
Storage and access tokens.Access tokens issued by Meta are stored encrypted at rest, scoped to the specific user and organisation that authorised them, and used only to make API calls requested by that organisation. Axel honours Meta’s rate limits, data use restrictions, and the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
Revoking access. You can disconnect Axel from your Meta account at any time from inside Axel (Settings → Integrations) or from Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations. Once you disconnect, Axel stops making new API calls on your behalf. Cached Meta data is deleted per the schedule described in our data deletion instructions.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal information. We share limited information with service providers who help us operate the site, such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and advertising measurement. These providers process information on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@getaxel.app.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to minimise risk and respond promptly to any incidents.
9. Children
Axel is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
